John O'Keefe was approached by the Cheshire Art League late in 2009 and asked if he would give a
presentation on his painting process and techniques.
John accepted the invitation and began working on a presentation right away.
The final power point presentation contained over 140 detailed
and automated slides that documented the major elements of his painting process
from conception to making the final sale. He gave the presentation for the first time on May 11, 2011.

John O'Keefe was accepted by jury review to become a new ARTIST MEMBER
of the Salmagundi Club located in New York City. This opens up numerous
exhibition and competition opportunities within this prestigious art
organization that was founded in. Before being accepted as a
member artist John had a painting accepted into one the clubs
recent non-member exhibitions.

John O'Keefe was invited to participate in a special fundraising event sponsored by
the Cheshire Land Trust in behalf of Ives Farm of Cheshire Connecticut. The event was titled,
'Art in Good Taste at Ives Farm'.
The event was held to raise money for Ives Farm and
artists from Cheshire and surrounding
areas were invited to set up a booth where they could display and
sell their artwork.
A few of the artists were featured in the advertising of the event
and John O'Keefe had the privilege to be one of them.

John O'Keefe was accepted onto the BOARD OF DIRECTORS at the Cheshire Art League.
His first assignment is to improve the leagues online presence.
This will include a complete redesign of the leagues website.

John O'Keefe received the honor of being a FEATURED ARTIST of the
'17th Annual Associate Artist Exhibit' held
at the Lyme Art Gallery in Old Lyme, Connecticut. The honor included
a very nice press release that was published in numerous newspapers and trade journals in
Connecticut and surrounding states.
